Within the framework of the Life Scrubsnet project, information and awareness days are being held for livestock farmers and farmers with assigned plots in the area of the town of Siruela.
The aim of these days is to promote sustainable and environmentally friendly practices. To this end, the coordinating partner, Innogestiona Ambiental, experts and relevant authorities met last Wednesday, 29 March 2023, with farmers and livestock farmers to inform them of the implementation of the measures in the communal farm of Siruela.
The meeting took place in an atmosphere of collaboration and dialogue, in which farmers and livestock farmers have the opportunity to learn first-hand the details of the measures being implemented and the benefits they can obtain by adopting more sustainable practices. In addition, work is being done to raise awareness of the impacts that unsustainable practices can have on the environment and the local economy.
Among the measures being implemented are the installation of fencing, the draining of the pond and the spring that supplies it, the construction of a small masonry wall to protect the springs, the installation of rockeries or piles of stones for reptiles, etc.
The importance of these measures lies in the fact that they contribute to the preservation of the environment and the improvement of biodiversity in the area.
