The LIFE Scrubsnet project was presented at the INTER LIFE PT 2026 international seminar, held on 24 and 25 March at the University of Évora (a project partner) in the city of Évora.

On 24 March, as part of the session dedicated to LIFE projects in Spain, the LIFE Scrubsnet project was presented via a ‘pitch’ by Juan Pablo Martín, representative of Innogestiona Ambiental SL. The presentation provided an opportunity to share the project’s main objectives, progress and best practices with other beneficiaries and participating organisations.

Other notable projects from the LIFE programme were also presented during this session, including:

  • BIG4LIFE, presented by Laura Herrera Díez (University of Lleida)
  • LIFE IP INTEMARES, presented by Paloma Pacheco (Biodiversity Foundation)
  • LIFE ALNUS TAEJO, presented by José Luis García Rodríguez (Polytechnic University of Madrid)
  • LIFE IP DUERO, presented by Mónica Gómez Gamero (Duero River Basin Authority)
  • LIFE Construye 2030Plus, presented by Andrés Mella (Construction Labour Foundation).

The event, focused on the exchange of experiences within the framework of the LIFE Programme, brought together numerous projects from Spain and Portugal, fostering cooperation and mutual learning among initiatives working on environmental conservation and adaptation to climate change.

Furthermore, LIFE Scrubsnet played a prominent role on the agenda with the technical visit organised to its project area, where participants were able to see first-hand the actions implemented on the ground and the results achieved.

Participation in INTER LIFE PT 2026 enhances the visibility of the LIFE Scrubsnet project at the Iberian and European levels, consolidating it as a leading initiative in sustainable habitat management and ecological restoration.
